Clásico Contemporáneo
Located in the Almagro neighborhood, Clásico Contemporáneo is a proposal where the memory of the place meets the needs of the present.
As a starting point, we were faced with a home whose original layout excessively fragmented the rooms, creating compartmentalized spaces and an overall sense of darkness. The lack of visual connection and the rigidity of the initial scheme prevented natural light from flowing freely, limiting both the sense of spaciousness and the overall living experience.
The project therefore begins with a comprehensive reconfiguration of the space. Unnecessary barriers were removed and circulation was redefined to enhance visual and functional continuity between the different areas. The result is an open, luminous, and balanced home where each room breathes and engages in dialogue with the whole.
The kitchen, conceived as the true heart of the home, opens onto the living room and is organized around a central island that acts as a structural axis. It becomes both a gathering point and the focal element of the space, reinforcing the idea of shared living and everyday dynamism.
From an aesthetic perspective, the project seeks a harmonious dialogue between the classical and the contemporary. Carefully integrated moldings, character-rich marbles, and warm-toned woods evoke the timeless elegance of traditional architecture. These elements coexist with cleaner lines and contemporary solutions, achieving a precise balance between history and modernity.
The result is a home that preserves its classical essence while being reinterpreted through a contemporary lens: a luminous space designed to adapt to modern living without renouncing its identity.
Project carried out in collaboration with Agustín Scagliotti.
